Drain the potatoes and mash them with 1/4 cup of milk and 4 tablespoons of butter until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then spread the mash over the beef mixture in the baking dish.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
