Hey y’all! Today I wanna share with you a recipe that’s easy, tasty and healthy – my version of Chicken Shepherd’s Pie. You can make this dish for your family or for a cookout with friends. Trust me, they’ll be asking for seconds.
First Up…
Ingredients
- 500g minced chicken
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 zucchini, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the minced chicken and cook until browned.
- Add the carrot and zucchini and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the thyme, rosemary, smoked paprika, salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the chicken stock and cornstarch. Add the mixture to the pan and cook until thickened.
- Add the milk and stir well.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the top of the chicken mixture in the pan.
- Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Italianized Version???

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.

- Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
