Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef or lamb
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, and green beans)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
3 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef or lamb over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
3. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
4. Add the mixed vegetables, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet and cook for a few more minutes until the vegetables are heated through.
5. Spread the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
6. Layer the mashed potatoes over the beef mixture.
7. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.
8. Bake the Shepherd’s Pie for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
