Let me tell y’all about my newest obsession: Pad Thai. Now, I never had it before, but when I tell you it’s one of the best things I’ve ever tasted, trust me on that. So I had to find a recipe to make it at home and let me just say that I found two that are to die for.
30-Minute Easy Pad Thai Recipe
First up, we have this 30-minute easy Pad Thai recipe. It’s perfect for when you’re in a rush or just want some quick deliciousness.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz of Pad Thai rice noodles
- 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup of unsalted peanuts, chopped
- 3 eggs, whisked
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 3 Tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons of lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon of red chili flakes
- 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions:
- In a bowl, cover the Pad Thai noodles with boiling water and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- In a wok or large pan, heat the vegetable oil and add the garlic, bell pepper, and peanuts. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
- Push the mixture to the side of the pan and add the whisked eggs. Stir until cooked and then mix it with the bell pepper and peanut mixture.
- Drain the noodles and add them to the pan. Pour the soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, and chili flakes on top and stir until everything is combined.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
Authentic Pad Thai Recipe
If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, try out this 30-minute authentic Pad Thai recipe. Trust me, it’s worth it.
Ingredients:

- 1/2 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, sliced thin
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of fish sauce
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons of tamarind paste
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of dried chili flakes
- 1/4 cup of peanuts, chopped
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions:
- In a bowl, cover the Pad Thai noodles with boiling water and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- In a wok or large pan, heat the vegetable oil and add the shrimp, garlic, and shallots. Cook for 2-3 minutes and then push everything to the side of the pan.
- Add the egg to the pan and stir until cooked. Then mix it with the shrimp mixture.
- Drain the noodles and add them to the pan. Pour the fish sauce, brown sugar, tamarind paste, and chili flakes on top and stir until combined.
- Top with chopped peanuts, a squeeze of lime, and cilantro.
