Pad Thai Recipe Asian At Home

Pad Thai is a classic dish that many of us Asian people have grown up with. It’s a delicious combination of rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, and even tofu with a sweet and savory sauce. I’m excited to share my version of Pad Thai with you, so you can enjoy it in all its yummy glory.

Pad Thai Recipe

Ingredients:

• 8 oz. dried rice noodles
• 1 cup cooked shrimp
• 1 lb. boneless chicken breasts, sliced into small pieces
• 4 oz. tofu, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup mung bean sprouts
• 1 cup chopped green onions
• 1 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
• ½ cup unsalted peanuts, chopped

Sauce:

• 3 tbsp. fish sauce
• 2 tbsp. brown sugar
• 2 tbsp. lime juice
• 1 tbsp. rice vinegar
• 1 tsp. chili paste

Instructions:

1. Soak the dried rice noodles in cold water for 45 minutes, drain and set aside.
2. Make the sauce by mixing together the fish sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, rice vinegar, and chili paste. Set aside.
3. In a large wok or skillet, heat up the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
4. Add the chicken and stir-fry until it’s cooked through, about 5 minutes.
5. Push the chicken to one side of the wok and crack in two eggs. Scramble the eggs until they’re cooked through, then mix with the chicken.
6. Add in the shrimp and tofu. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
7. Finally, add in the soaked rice noodles and mung beans, and stir-fry for an additional 3 minutes.
8. Pour in the sauce and continue to stir-fry for another 3 minutes, until everything is well combined.
9. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and chopped peanuts. Serve hot and enjoy!
