To make this peppery pasta carbonara with poached egg recipe, start by cooking your pasta according to the package instructions. While the pasta is cooking, fry up some bacon in a large, deep skillet until crispy. Once the bacon is cooked, remove it from the skillet with a slotted spoon and set it aside on a plate.
In the same skillet, whisk together some eggs and cream until smooth. Add in some grated parmesan cheese, salt, and plenty of freshly cracked black pepper. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet with the egg mixture. Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the creamy sauce.
To make the poached egg, fill a saucepan with about two inches of water and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
