Butternut Squash Tart with Chile Honey
First of all, let me just say that this tart is a showstopper. It looks super fancy and impressive, but it’s actually pretty easy to make. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 small butternut squash, peeled and sliced into thin rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Now, here’s how you make it:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Arrange the butternut squash slices on top of the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the salt and pepper.

Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- Cut the butternut squash into 1 1/4-inch cubes and place them on a baking sheet.
