Hey there foodies! Today I am going to share with you two amazing and mouthwatering recipes for the classic New England Clam Chowder. If you are a seafood lover, you will absolutely adore these dishes!
Let’s start with the first recipe. For this delicious Clam Chowder, you will need the following:
Ingredients:
- 6-8 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 cups clam juice
- 2 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
- 2 cans of clams
- Salt and pepper to taste
Heat up a pot on medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Add the chopped onion and sauté for a few minutes until it becomes tender and translucent. Add the flour and stir until it becomes a paste. Add the clam juice and whisk until it is smooth with no lumps. Add the cubed potatoes and let it simmer for around 15 minutes until the potatoes are cooked. Add the heavy cream, thyme, clams, salt, and pepper, then let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Now let’s move on to the second recipe with a slightly different twist. For this recipe, the steps are almost the same, but we are going to add a magical ingredient: bacon grease!
Ingredients:
