3. Rinse the cabbage in cold water and drain it.
4. In a small saucepan, whisk together the flour, sugar and water. Bring to boil over medium heat and let it cook until the mixture turns into a translucent paste.
5. Mix together chili flakes, fish sauce, garlic, and ginger in a large bowl until combined.
6. Add the flour paste to the bowl and mix until the paste is evenly distributed.
7. Add the cabbage and green onions to the bowl and mix with the chili paste until everything is coated evenly.
8. Transfer the mixture into an airtight container. Let it sit at room temperature for 1 to 5 days, depending on how fermented you want it to be. Once it’s ready, store it in the refrigerator.
