Ridiculously Crispy Air Fried Tofu Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 block (14 oz) extra firm tofu
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
- Sriracha (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for extra crispy wings)
Instructions:
- Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to get rid of any excess water.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (if using).
- Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces and toss them in the cornstarch mixture until fully coated.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and add the tofu pieces in a single layer.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping the tofu halfway through for even crispiness.
- If you want extra crispy tofu wings, drizzle olive oil over the tofu pieces during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Remove the tofu from the air fryer and top with Sriracha (if using).
