Sloppy Joe Recipe Spruce Eats

Y’all know I love me some sloppy joes, and today I got a recipe that’s gonna make your mouth water! This Instant Pot Sloppy Joe recipe is the truth and it’s perfect when you’re in a hurry and need to whip up something quick.

Instant Pot Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. ground beef
• 1 onion, diced
• 1 red bell pepper, diced
• 1 can of tomato paste (6 oz.)
• 1 cup of water
• 1/4 cup of ketchup
• 1/4 cup of brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard
• 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon of salt
• 6 hamburger buns

Instructions:

1. Press the sauté button on the Instant Pot and brown the ground beef. Drain any excess grease.
2. Add the diced onion and red bell pepper to the Instant Pot. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the can of tomato paste, water, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
4. Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to “Sealing.” Press the manual button and set the timer for 5 minutes on high pressure.
5. When the 5 minutes are up, quick release the pressure.
6. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the meat mixture to the hamburger buns and serve.
