Today I’m sharing with you my two favorite recipes for baked cheesecake! These are classic desserts that everyone will love, and they’re really not too difficult to make. All of the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store, so no need to make a special trip.
First up is the classic baked cheesecake. Start by preheating your oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, beat together 4 packages of cream cheese, 1 1/4 cups of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch springform pan and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the center is set. Once it’s finished baking, let it cool to room temperature before putting it in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.
For the second recipe, we’re making baked banana cheesecake. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, beat together 2 ripe bananas, 4 packages of cream cheese, 1 1/4 cups of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch springform pan and bake for about 50 minutes, or until the center is set. Let it cool to room temperature before putting it in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.
Now, let’s take a closer look at each recipe. For the classic cheesecake, you’ll want to make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature before you start. This will help it to blend more easily with the other ingredients. You’ll also want to bake it in a water bath to prevent cracks from forming. To do this, wrap the outside of the springform pan in foil and place it in a larger pan. Add hot water to the larger pan, filling it about halfway up the sides of the springform pan. This will help to regulate the temperature and prevent the cheesecake from drying out.
As for the banana cheesecake, you’ll need to make sure your bananas are really ripe – they should be mostly brown. This will give them the best flavor and help them to blend more easily with the other ingredients. You can also add a bit of cinnamon to the mixture for some extra flavor.
No matter which recipe you choose, you’re sure to have a crowd-pleaser on your hands. Serve it topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or your favorite sauce. Enjoy!
