Pan-Fried Crab Cakes
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lump crab meat, picked over and drained well
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and fresh parsley.
- Add crab meat and panko bread crumbs, folding together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix the ingredients or the crab cakes will become tough.
- Form mixture into eight 1-inch thick patties, being careful not to pack too tightly or handle the mixture too much.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add crab cakes and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer crab cakes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and whisk together until well combined.
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375°F.
- Dip each crab cake into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then carefully place into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
