Hey y’all! I’ve been craving something sweet for breakfast lately, and stumbled upon this bomb crepe recipe! These ain’t your ordinary crepes either, they’re Alton Brown crepes, and if you know anything about Alton Brown, you know they’re gonna be good.
First up, let’s take a look at the ingredients you’ll need:
– 2 large eggs
– 3/4 cup milk
– 1/2 cup water
– 1 cup flour
– 3 tablespoons melted butter
– 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– Pinch of salt
Now that you’ve got all your ingredients ready, let’s get to cooking!
First things first, you’ll want to combine your eggs, milk, water, flour, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt in a blender. Blend it all up until it’s nice and smooth, then let it sit for about 15 minutes.
After your batter has had some time to sit, heat up a non-stick skillet over medium heat. You’ll want to pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet, and swirl it around to cover the entire bottom of the skillet. Let it cook for about 30 seconds, then flip it over and cook the other side for another 10 seconds or so. Repeat this process until you’ve used up all your batter.
Now, let’s talk about toppings. You can get as creative as you want with your toppings, but here are a few of my go-to’s:
– Freshly sliced strawberries with whipped cream
– Nutella and banana slices
– Lemon juice and powdered sugar
– Mixed berries with honey and yogurt
