- 1 package of onion soup mix
- 1 block of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup of sour cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Egg noodles, for serving
Instructions:
- Season beef with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear beef until browned on all sides. You want a nice crust on the meat for added flavor.
- Add onions, mushrooms, and garlic to the same skillet and cook until onions are translucent and mushrooms have released their juices.
- Transfer beef mixture into a slow cooker. In the same skillet, whisk together beef broth and onion soup mix.
- Pour the beef broth over the beef mixture in the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until beef is fork-tender.
- Once the beef is cooked, add cream cheese and sour cream to the slow cooker and stir until well combined.
- Cook for an additional 30 minutes on low heat until the sauce is creamy and heated through.
- While the sauce is heating through, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over egg noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.
