Carbonara Recipe Beef

Carbonara with a Twist

Ingredients

• 1 lb beef, sliced into thin strips
• 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
• 3 egg yolks
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 1/2 cup chopped garlic
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1 lb spaghetti pasta
• 6 cups water
• 1 tbsp salt

Instructions

1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the salt and spaghetti pasta. Cook the pasta until it is tender, but not overcooked. Drain and set aside.
2. Add the olive oil to a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and sauté until they are soft.
3. Add the beef strips and cook until brown.
4. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, egg yolks, and black pepper until well combined.
5. Add the spaghetti pasta to the pan containing the beef strips and mix well.
6. Add the Parmesan and cheddar cheese to the pan and mix well.
7. Turn off the heat and add the heavy cream mixture to the pan. Mix well.
8. Plate and serve while hot.
