Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter, melted
- 4 packages of cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups of sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup of sugar, and melted butter.
- Press the mixture onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until it becomes smooth.
- Add 1 1/4 cups of sugar gradually, beating until it becomes light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until the center is almost set.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Spoon the mixture onto the top of the cheesecake.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
