This is one of the days when I sit and plan out my meals, and the only thing I feel like eating is some super yummy, creamy chicken alfredo. As I sit pondering what recipe to use, my eyes come across this hilarious photo of a chicken pretending to speak in a Southern drawl. I mean, what even is that! I can’t help but laugh, and it’s in this good mood that I come across the perfect recipe to bring my chicken cravings to life.
The recipe, which I am about to share with you, is the Alfredo Chicken Casserole – Simple Joy. Trust me, folks, it’s so easy to make, and the results are incredible every time. So, without further ado, let’s get cooking.
Firstly, preheat your oven to 350 F (175 C) and let’s get our ingredients ready. You are going to need spaghetti pasta, chicken breast, garlic butter, heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese.
Now, let’s get our chicken cooked. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and fry it up in garlic butter until cooked through. Set it aside for a moment and let’s get started on our pasta.
Boil the spaghetti pasta until al-dente (that just means the pasta has a bit of a bite left to it when you eat it). Once done, try to save about a cup of the pasta water and set it aside.
Now, let’s get to the creamy part of our recipe. In a separate pan, heat up your heavy cream and add in a cup of grated parmesan cheese. Once it’s all melted and mixed in, add in some of the pasta water you previously saved, and stir.
Once everything is well mixed together, combine the pasta, chicken, and creamy mixture. Put it all in a greased casserole dish, top it off with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and pop it in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown on top.
