Ingredients:
For this recipe, you will need:
- 1 pound of boneless and skinless chicken breast
- 1 pound of fettuccine pasta
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley leaves
Instructions:
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook until al dente, approximately 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breast with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add another 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice.
- Stir well and allow the sauce to thicken for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the chicken back into the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes in the sauce until everything is heated through.
- Finally, add the cooked fettuccine pasta and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
