Chili is a classic dish that has been a staple in American cuisine for generations. It’s a hearty, satisfying meal that’s perfect for chilly nights or as a comforting weekend dinner. With so many different variations of chili out there, it can be tough to find the perfect recipe. That’s why I’ve curated two of the best chili recipes for you to try at home.
Chili Recipe 1
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef until no longer pink.
- Add onion, green pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Transfer beef mixture to a large pot and add beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
