If you’re a fan of seafood, then you’re in for a treat with this delicious Easy Clam Chowder recipe. This recipe is perfect for a chilly day when you want to cozy up with a warm bowl of soup that’s both filling and comforting.
Ingredients:
- 6 strips bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups baby potatoes, chopped into small pieces
- 3 cans of chopped clams, drained
- 2 cups heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)
Directions:
In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pot with a slotted spoon and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Add the onion and celery to the pot and cook until they’re soft and translucent, stirring occasionally. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Add the chicken broth and potatoes to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender. This should take about 20 minutes.
Stir in the clams and heavy cream into the pot. Simmer the chowder until heated through, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Ladle the chowder into bowls and top it with the cooked bacon and parsley or green onions for garnish. Enjoy your delicious bowl of Easy Clam Chowder today!
