  • 1 pound of fresh crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup minced onion

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, onion, mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 8 patties, about 3 inches in diameter.
  3. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. When ready to cook, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add enough oil to coat the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Carefully add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the skillet and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the crab cakes and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Add more oil if necessary.
  5. Remove from the skillet and serve hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce, if desired.
