Maryland Crab Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat
- 2 large eggs

- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

- 1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs, plus more for coating
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 lemon, cut in wedges
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450F.
- Empty the crabmeat into a large mixing bowl and use your fingers to gently pick over the crab to remove any shell fragments.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and Old Bay seasoning.
- Add the egg mixture to the crabmeat, then gently mix everything until fully combined.
- Gradually add the panko breadcrumbs to the crab mixture, stirring gently, until the mixture is firm enough to form cakes.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1 inch thick.
- Dip each cake into additional panko to coat.
- Melt the butter on a baking sheet and arrange the crab cakes on top.
- Bake the crab cakes for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown on top and heated through.
