Classic Crab Cake with Creole Remoulade Sauce
Ohhh honey, this crab cake is the real deal. And don’t even get me started on the Creole Remoulade Sauce. It’s like a flavor party in your mouth!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, green onions, red bell pepper, celery, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Gently mix until well combined.
- Add in the panko breadcrumbs and mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 8 crab cakes and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the crab cakes for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top and heated through.
- While the crab cakes are cooking, make the Creole Remoulade Sauce. (Recipe below)
- Remove the crab cakes from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving with the Creole Remoulade Sauce.
Creole Remoulade Sauce
This sauce is the perfect match for the Classic Crab Cake. It’s tangy, spicy, and oh-so-delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Creole mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon chopped capers
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 2 teaspoons horseradish
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Creole mustard, ketchup, capers, parsley, horseradish, hot sauce, garlic, and paprika.
- Refrigerate the sauce until you are ready to serve.
