Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your morning with a delicious, fluffy and cheesy frittata. Here are two different frittata recipes that you can try at home!
Cheese Frittata Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Crack 6 eggs and whisk them in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat up the olive oil in a pan, add the onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan, mix lightly and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the frittata and place the pan in the preheated oven.
- Bake for around 8-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and golden brown.
- Take the pan out of the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
- You can slice the frittata into wedges and serve with sour cream or salsa on top.
Cottage Cheese, Kale and Smoked Salmon Frittata
Ingredients:

- 1/4 cup of cottage cheese
- A handful of kale leaves, chopped
- 2 slices of smoked salmon, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Crack 6 eggs and whisk them in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in the cottage cheese and set aside.
- Heat up a little bit of oil in a pan and sauté the chopped kale until softened.
- Add the smoked salmon and cook for another minute.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan, mix lightly and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for around 8-10 minutes, until the frittata is set and golden brown.
- Take the pan out of the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
- Slice the frittata into wedges and serve hot.
