You only need three things to make this guac:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 small lime, juiced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Here’s what you gotta do:
- Remove the pits and scoop out the flesh of the avocados into a bowl.
- Add the lime juice and salt, then mash it all up with a fork or potato masher.
- Taste it and add more salt or lime if needed.
That’s it! This guacamole is perfect for dipping some tortilla chips or spreading on toast.
Pear Guacamole Recipe
This guac is a little bit fancier, but still easy to make. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 ripe pear, peeled and chopped
- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoons chopped red onion
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Instructions:
- Same as the first recipe, remove the pits and scoop out the flesh of the avocados into a bowl.
- Then, gently fold in the rest of the ingredients until well mixed and serve.
This guacamole is great as a side dish for your tacos or as a topping for your burgers. The pear adds a little sweetness and the jalapeño gives it a little kick.
