Pad Thai Recipe America's Test Kitchen

Hey y’all, today I’m gonna share with you my favorite pad thai recipe. If y’all don’t know what pad thai is, it’s a Thai dish that’s sweet, savory and a little bit spicy. It’s perfect for those lazy nights when you don’t feel like cooking up a big meal.

Pad Thai Recipe #1

Ingredients:

• 8 oz. flat rice noodles
• 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
• 1/4 cup oyster sauce
• 2 tbsp. soy sauce
• 2 tbsp. sugar
• 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
• 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup bean sprouts

Instructions:

1. Soak rice noodles in cold water for about 30 minutes, or until soft. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
3. Add chicken or vegetable broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir to combine.
4. Add the rice noodles to the skillet and toss with the sauce until heated through.
5. Push the noodles to one side of the skillet and add the beaten eggs to the other side. Scramble the eggs until cooked through, then mix with the noodles.
6. Add bean sprouts, chopped peanuts and green onions to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.

Pad Thai Recipe #2

Ingredients:

• 8 oz. fettuccine or spaghetti
• 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
• 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
• 1/2 cup Kraft Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing
• 1/4 cup peanut butter
• 2 tbsp. soy sauce
• 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
• 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
• 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions:

1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Meanwhile, whisk together dressing, peanut butter, soy sauce and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
4. Add the cooked pasta and sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together until heated through.
5. Serve with chopped cilantro, peanuts and lime wedges.
