Let me tell you something, y’all: I just tried making Pad Thai for the first time and let me tell you, it was like WHOA. I got the recipe from the internet, and yeah, I know that’s a risky move, but I figured, what could go wrong? And let me tell y’all, nothing went wrong! It was perfection.

Now, let me break down the ingredients and steps for y’all. First off, you’re gonna need:
– 8 ounces of rice noodles
– 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 eggs
– 1/4 cup of chicken broth
– 3 tablespoons of fish sauce
– 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
– 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
– 1 cup of bean sprouts
– 1 lime
– 1/4 cup of peanuts, chopped
Got all that? Great. Now let’s get cooking!
Step 1: Soak the noodles in hot water for about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a pan, heat up the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until it’s fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Step 3: Add the eggs to the pan and scramble them up until they’re cooked through.
Step 4: Add the chicken broth, fish sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes to the pan. Stir everything together for a minute or so, until the sauce is combined.
Step 5: Add the noodles to the pan and toss everything together until the noodles are coated in the sauce.
Step 6: Add the bean sprouts to the pan and toss everything together again.
Step 7: Squeeze the lime over the top of the whole shebang and toss everything together one last time.
Step 8: Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the top of the dish and serve it up hot.
Y’all. This recipe was so easy and so delicious. I can’t even tell you. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sauce was savory and a little bit sweet, and those peanuts on top added such a satisfying crunch. And can we talk about the presentation for a minute? I was feeling like a straight-up chef when I plated this sucker.
So take it from me, folks. If you’re feeling like trying something new and exotic in the kitchen, Pad Thai is the way to go. And these recipes I found online are the real deal. Just make sure you have some extra limes on hand, cause you’re gonna be squeezing the crap out of those bad boys. Enjoy!
