Pad Thai Recipe From Scratch

Pad Thai has recently become one of my favorite dishes to cook. It’s quick, easy, and oh so delicious! Today, I want to share with you my personal recipe for Pad Thai that I’ve been perfecting for a while now. Trust me when I say, once you try this recipe, you’ll never want to order takeout Pad Thai again!

First, let’s start with the ingredients. You’ll need:

– Rice noodles (linguine or fettuccine works great too!)
– Vegetable oil
– Garlic
– Chicken breast, sliced into small pieces
– Eggs
– Bean sprouts
– Green onions
– Salted peanuts
– Lime wedges

For the sauce:

– Tamarind paste
– Fish sauce
– Brown sugar
– Soy sauce

Once you have all your ingredients ready, it’s time to start cooking!

Start by soaking the rice noodles in hot water for about 10 minutes or until they’re soft. While the noodles are soaking, heat up some vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add some minced garlic and sauté for a few seconds until the garlic is fragrant. Add in the sliced chicken breast, and stir until cooked through.

Push the chicken to one side of the wok or pan, and crack in two eggs. Scramble the eggs until they’re fully cooked, then mix in with the chicken. Add in the soaked noodles, and stir fry everything together.

Now it’s time to add in the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together tamarind paste, fish sauce, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Pour the sauce into the wok or pan, and stir everything together until the noodles are fully coated.

Next, add in some bean sprouts and green onions, and stir fry for another minute or two until the vegetables are slightly cooked.

To serve, sprinkle some salted peanuts on top, and garnish with lime wedges.
