The Famous Karo Pecan Pie
I found this recipe on Pinterest and was immediately drawn to it by the mouth-watering image of the golden, buttery crust and the gooey, caramel-like filling packed with chopped pecans. I cannot wait to share it with you all!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Karo Light Corn Syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla using a spoon. Stir in pecans.
- Pour filling into pie crust.
- Bake on center rack of oven for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
I followed the recipe to a tee and was not disappointed. The pie turned out perfectly, with a beautifully textured filling that was not too sweet or overwhelming. The combination of the crunchy pecans and the silky smooth filling was simply heavenly. This recipe is definitely a keeper and will be a regular feature on my dessert table!
