Today, I’m excited to share with you my very own recipe for homemade sausage! There’s something so satisfying about making delicious food from scratch, and I promise that this recipe won’t disappoint.

Homemade Sausage Recipe
Now that you’re drooling, let’s get down to business. Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground pork
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup ice water
Now that we have all of our ingredients ready, let’s make some delicious sausage! Here are the steps:
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, sage, thyme, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper until fully incorporated. You may want to wear some gloves for this part!
- Slowly pour in the ice water and mix together until the mixture becomes sticky and binds together. You want the sausage mixture to be wet enough to easily shape into sausage links, but not too wet that it won’t hold together.
- At this point, you can either shape the sausage mixture into links or patties. If you’re making links, you can use a sausage stuffer to make the process easier, or you can shape them by hand.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet or on the grill until fully cooked through, typically about 10-12 minutes per side depending on the size of the links/patties.
