Sausage rolls! Nothing quite hits the spot like a good sausage roll. Here’s a recipe I found for making them at home that you can easily whip up for a snack or for entertaining guests.
Sausage Rolls
Ingredients
- 500g sausage meat
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 brown onion grated
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1-2 tbsp chopped fresh sage
- 1 egg for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200C. Line baking tray with baking paper.
- In a bowl combine sausage meat, breadcrumbs, onion, milk and sage. Mix well.
- On a lightly floured surface roll out the sausage meat mixture into a log shape.
- Cut the log into small sausage rolls shapes and place onto the prepared baking tray.
- Beat the egg in a separate bowl and brush to top of each sausage roll with it.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Curried Sausage & Peas
Ingredients
- 500g sausage sliced
- 1 onion diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 3/4 cup frozen peas
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Set Instant Pot to sauté and add olive oil.
- Once hot add sausage and brown on all sides.
- Add onions and cook until softened.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
- Set Instant Pot to high pressure for 8 minutes.
- Quick release pressure and open lid.
- Switch Instant Pot back to sauté and allow to thicken for 5-10 minutes.
- Serve over rice or with naan bread.
