Seafood Entertaining Recipes

If you’re looking for a seafood dish that’s easy to make but looks like it took hours of preparation, then you’re in luck! We’ve got two amazing recipes for you that will be perfect for your summer entertaining needs. Each dish has its own twist, and we’re sure that one (or both!) will be a hit with your guests.

Seafood Boil

First up, we have a seafood boil that’s both delicious and visually stunning. The combination of seafood, potatoes, and corn on the cob makes for a colorful and tasty meal that your guests won’t soon forget. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 24 small clams, scrubbed and rinsed
  • 1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded
  • 1 lb crawfish, rinsed
  • 6 small corn on the cob, cut into thirds
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, washed and halved
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring 6 quarts of water to a boil. Add the Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
  2. Add the potatoes to the pot and cook for 10 minutes. Add the corn and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the potatoes and corn from the pot and set aside.
  4. Add the shrimp, clams, mussels, and crawfish to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and the clams and mussels have opened.
  5. Remove the seafood from the pot and set aside.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, sliced lemons, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  7. Place the potatoes, corn, and seafood on a large platter and pour the lemon butter mixture over the top.
  8. Serve immediately.

Shrimp Charcuterie Cheese Platter

If you’re looking for something a little more elegant, then our shrimp charcuterie cheese platter is sure to impress. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 block of cheddar cheese
  • 1 block of pepper jack cheese
  • 1 package of crackers
  • 1 package of salami
  • 1 package of prosciutto
  • 1 pint of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 jar of olives
  • 1 small bunch of grapes
  • 1 small bunch of fresh herbs, such as parsley or cilantro
  • 1 cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup of mixed nuts

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the cheese, crackers, salami, and prosciutto on a large platter.
  2. Add the shrimp, cherry tomatoes, olives, grapes, and fresh herbs to the platter.
  3. Drizzle the honey over the cheese and fruit.
  4. Sprinkle the mixed nuts over the top.
  5. Serve immediately.
