Seafood is one of the most loved and popular foods all around the world, and it’s one of my favorites too! I’m excited to share with you a couple of amazing seafood recipes that I have tried and tested, along with some inspiration from the internet.
First up, we have a mouth-watering shrimp scampi recipe. To make this delicious dish, you will need:
-1 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
-1/2 cup of butter
-4 cloves of garlic, minced
-1/4 cup of white wine
-1/4 cup of chicken broth
-1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
-1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
-1/4 cup of chopped parsley
-Salt and pepper to taste
-Linguine for serving
To begin the cooking process, cook the linguine according to the package instructions. Next, heat up a large skillet and melt the butter along with the minced garlic. Stir in the shrimp and cook for about two minutes, until they turn into a pinkish color. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp! Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
Using the same skillet, pour in the white wine, chicken broth, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and parsley. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to your liking. Cook the mixture for a few minutes until it thickens and reduces in volume.
In the meantime, place the cooked linguine onto a serving dish and lay the shrimp over the top. Pour the sauce over the top of the shrimp and the linguine. Garnish with some more chopped parsley and serve immediately while it’s still hot!
Next, we also have a delicious salmon recipe for all you salmon lovers out there. This recipe will make you fall in love with salmon all over again! To make this dish, you will need:
-4 salmon fillets
-1/4 cup of honey
-1/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce
-2 cloves of minced garlic
-1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
-Black pepper to taste
-Sesame seeds for garnishing
Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking dish with foil. Place the salmon fillets onto the foil and generously brush them with the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic mixture. Drizzle freshly squeezed lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with black pepper to your liking.
Bake the salmon fillets in the preheated oven for about 12-16 minutes or until they are cooked through. You can check by cutting into one of the fillets and looking to see if it’s opaque.
When you’re done cooking the salmon, sprinkle it with some sesame seeds to garnish, and your dish is ready to devour!
