- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion and green pepper to the skillet with the ground beef and continue to cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve the sloppy joe mixture on buns or rolls.
