Y’all know I love me some sloppy joes, and today I got a recipe that’s gonna make your mouth water! This Instant Pot Sloppy Joe recipe is the truth and it’s perfect when you’re in a hurry and need to whip up something quick.
Instant Pot Sloppy Joes
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 can of tomato paste (6 oz.)
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 6 hamburger buns
Instructions:
- Press the sauté button on the Instant Pot and brown the ground beef. Drain any excess grease.
- Add the diced onion and red bell pepper to the Instant Pot. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the can of tomato paste, water, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
- Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to “Sealing.” Press the manual button and set the timer for 5 minutes on high pressure.
- When the 5 minutes are up, quick release the pressure.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer the meat mixture to the hamburger buns and serve.
