Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, applesauce, granulated sugar and brown sugar with an electric mixer until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
- Bake until edges are golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet.
- Stir in chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
