Tikka Masala Recipe Instant Pot

I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I just get a hankering for some delicious Indian food. And when that happens, there’s no better dish than chicken tikka masala. But who has the time to slave over a hot stove for hours? Not me, that’s for sure. That’s why I love this Instant Pot chicken tikka masala recipe. It’s quick, easy, and packed full of flavor.

Instant Pot Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 1 onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
• 1 can diced tomatoes
• 1/2 cup plain yogurt
• 2 Tbsp garam masala
• 1 Tbsp paprika
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
• 1/2 tsp cumin
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Turn the Instant Pot on to the sauté setting. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and cook until soft.
2. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Add the diced tomatoes and all the spices. Stir to combine.
4. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 8 minutes.
5. When the timer goes off, do a quick release of pressure.
6. Stir in the yogurt and heavy cream.
7. Serve over rice and top with fresh cilantro, if desired.
