Tofu Recipes Baked

Marinated Baked Tofu

Ingredients:

• 1 block extra firm tofu
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup rice vinegar
• 2 tablespoons sesame oil
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon grated ginger
• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Press the tofu to drain excess liquid and slice into thin pieces.
3. In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
4. Place tofu slices in the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes.
5. Arrange the marinated tofu on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
7. Serve hot with green onions and sesame seeds as garnish.

Teriyaki Baked Tofu

Ingredients:

• 1 block extra firm tofu
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 2 tablespoons water
• Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Press the tofu to drain excess liquid and slice into thin pieces.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
4. Arrange the tofu slices on the prepared baking sheet and brush each slice with the teriyaki sauce.
5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
6. In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
7. Simmer the remaining teriyaki sauce in a small saucepan and whisk in the cornstarch slurry until it thickens.
8. Serve hot with the thickened teriyaki sauce, green onions, and sesame seeds as garnish.

Pesto Baked Tofu

Ingredients:

• 1 block extra firm tofu
• 1/2 cup basil leaves
• 1/3 cup pine nuts
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1/3 cup olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Press the tofu to drain excess liquid and slice into thin pieces.
3. In a food processor, combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan cheese.
4. While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil to form a smooth pesto sauce.
5. Arrange the tofu slices on the prepared baking sheet and spread a layer of pesto sauce on top of each slice.
6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
7. Serve hot with additional pesto sauce as desired.
