Pan Fried Sesame Tofu with Broccoli
This pan-fried tofu dish with broccoli is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. The dish is made with sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and cornstarch. When you fry the marinated tofu pieces, they develop a nice crispy crust that is irresistible.
Here is the list of ingredients:
- 1 block of firm or extra-firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
Instructions:
- Wrap the tofu in a paper towel and press it between two heavy plates for 30 minutes to remove the excess water.
- Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, mix together the cornstarch, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and toss them around to coat them with the marinade.
- In a non-stick pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and fry them for 5-7 minutes or until they are crispy and golden.
- Remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add the broccoli florets and stir-fry them for 3-4 minutes or until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the tofu to the pan and mix it with the broccoli.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
Sesame Ginger Tofu and Veggie Stir Fry
This stir-fry recipe features crispy tofu, colorful vegetables, and a flavorful sauce made with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. You can use any vegetables you like, but I recommend bell peppers, carrots, snap peas, and mushrooms.
