Cooking up a Delicious Treat!
Before we get started, let me tell you that this recipe is incredibly easy to follow. So, let’s get started, shall we?
Ingredients
- 1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat, picked free of shells
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (you can use low-fat or no-fat mayo as well)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup saltine crackers, crushed
Instructions
- First, preheat your oven to 450F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg lightly.
- Add the mayo, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper and whisk everything together.
- Gently fold in the crabmeat, being careful not to break up any lumps.
- Add the crushed crackers and mix everything together well.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into 6-8 crab cakes (depending on how large you want them).
- Place the crab cakes onto the lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes until they are golden brown.
