Easy Sloppy Joes Recipe (and VIDEO!) – 3 Ingredient Sloppy Joes
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the ketchup and brown sugar to the skillet and stir everything together.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and let everything simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto your favorite hamburger buns and enjoy!
Sloppy Joes Recipe (American Midwest seasoned ground beef sandwiches)
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and bell pepper and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the beef is browned, add the garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste and cook for another minute or two.
- Add the beef broth, ketchup, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper and stir everything together.
- Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto your favorite hamburger buns and enjoy!
